Phone Power calls itself a “next generation
telecommunications company.” Phone Power is a private company that was
started in 2005, providing telecommunications services in 48 states in
the US. Like most VoIP companies, Phone Power provides services to
individual residences as well as small and large businesses. Let’s dig
deeper into the different plans Phone Power offers its various
customers.
As far as residential VoIP services,
Phone Power offers a variety of Residential Freedom Plans for its
customers. If you’re looking for a residential plan that does not
require you to sign a contract, there are 3 plans to choose from: the
Monthly Promo, the 6 Month Prepay, and the 12 Month Prepay. The
Monthly Promo plan includes the following: $9.95 per month for the
first 3 months, with the rate increasing to $22.95 per month after the
3 month period is over. You can make unlimited outbound and inbound
calls in the US and Canada, can lease equipment for free, and are
entitled to free activation when you place your order online. Phone
Power’s 6 Month Prepay plan is slightly different; for a prepaid amount
of $89.95, subscribers get 6 months of service, with a $14.95 per month
charge following that initial period. The third residential plan is
the 12 Month Prepay. Yearly plans are usually $199.95 per year;
however, Phone Power offers the first 2 years for only $199.95, giving
you your second month free. This works out to $8.33 a month. All of
the above mentioned plans fall into the Residential Freedom package,
meaning you have unlimited calls to and from the US and Canada, along
with over 25 features like voicemail, caller ID, call forwarding, and
more.
When it comes to servicing small and
large businesses, Phone Power also offers competitive plans that meet a
variety of business and budget requirements. The main difference
between residential and business lines is that business lines have
different service addresses; furthermore, business lines qualify for an
auto-attendant and on-hold music. Each business line is allowed 5,000
outbound minutes per month, from your bill date, within the US. If a
business line exceeds 5,000 outbound minutes, Phone Power will notify
your business and will bill $.04 per excess minutes. Monthly payments
for this Phone Power Business plan are $39.95. Long-distance minutes
are measured, but not charged, as they come within the bundle of your
business package. We encourage you to review their website in more
detail to learn about the slight variation in price that comes with
multi-line business plans.
