If there's a way for you to get there for less--moving your trip a day, or using another airport--we'll let you know.”  A very useful feature that saves travelers hours of time when comparison shopping is the window on the homepage that allows you to compare their prices with other travel sites.  All you have to do is select the other sites that you would like to run the comparison against; your options are Expedia, Travelocity, Hotels.com, and Orbitz.  You can select one or more of the boxes to run this comparison, and is available when looking to compare hotels, air, and car rates.  Hotwire.com’s willingness to openly stack themselves up against the competition is a feature that many traveler’s use to save both time and money.

The model Hotwire uses to present the best deals to consumers is based on their solid partnerships.  When hotel rooms, airline seats, or rental cars go unsold, travel companies use Hotwire.com to fill them.  These partnerships allow them to negotiate special rates, which they then pass on to travelers.  Though you cannot cancel, exchange or get any kind of refund once you have made a purchase, they do offer 24/7 customer service.  With their easy-to-use tools and well-known reputation in the travel website industry, it’s no surprise that Hotwire.com is one of the top travel websites around.
