Netflix was in the pioneer in the online DVD rental business when it got its start a little over 10 years ago, providing DVD rentals via mail.  As the years have gone by the Netflix’s collection of online DVDs has grown to over 100,000 titles with over 8 million current customers.  All of their packages also include a 2 week free trial with them and the movies typically ship in about 1 business day.  All the packages include no late fees, no due dates, and free shipping both ways.  Netflix changes no fees to cancel and if you do so before the free trial period is up you will be charge nothing.

Netflix has no in store locations but has gone other routes to challenge Blockbuster’s in store return option.  In 2007 they began their PC program which allows you to download movies to your PC instantly, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  This has kept them at the top with Blockbuster in the DVD rental business.

To stay one step ahead of the competition, they recently launched Netflix Ready Devices.  Through these devices, like the Netflix Player by Roku, customers can connect to the internet and stream movies instantly to their TV.  This option is available with the packages all you need to do is make the one time purchase for the equipment.  For the Netflix Player this one time fee is $99.99.  This is a great option if you prefer to watch movies from your TV rather then your PC.

All the Netflix plans come with a free trial and all include some form the PC download feature.
